A deceivingly short post today that speaks tenfold times its length.
Carol Ann Duffy - the UK poet laureate (we still have those, yes) has a wonderful ability to say in such few words what many of us would take a day to express.
Simple, elegant, sublime.
This one appears in her book The World's Wife, and is one of many excellent poems taken from the perspective of female counterparts to some of history's most famous men.
I could put my 'English student' hat on and begin deciphering the poem line by line, but fear this will detract from your own interpretation of it.
An excellent poem, and an excellent point with which to end the day.
Until the next adventure...
