Five Happy Things This Week // 8

| 1. Getting a seat on the commute into work. Normal in the countryside, a sweet, glorious victory in London.

| 2. Having a long lunch meeting in Kings Cross Station above one of the old brick archways between platforms nine and ten. That pretty much means I've visited Platform 9 3/4 right?! Beautiful old porter-style room, an antique switchboard and a view of the Potterheads having their picture taken down below. There's a picture on my instagram here.

| 3. Finding a decaf cappuccino that didn't taste of mud. The no-caffeine quest continues, with periods of intense longing for a sweet, sweet brew, however with far more consistent energy levels than before.

| 4. Packed lunches. I know, this is really sad, but in the time between university and getting a job I really missed making a packed lunch. I've perfected the art, ham salad sandwich, a pot of dried fruit, another full of fresh mango and a Nakd bar to see me through the afternoon. I'm such a grandma.

| 5. Having the lovely Sarah over at Daydreams of Summertime feature me as her 'Sunday Spotlight' - what a lovely thing to wake up to on a Sunday morning! I've been reading her blog for quite a while now so it feels very odd seeing my face on her page!

What were your happy things this week? Let me know!

  1. What a beautiful post! I found your blog through Sarah's feature and I'm thrilled to bits. You have a gorgeous blog here. I used to live in London about ten years ago. It was one of the best times of my life. :)

  4. Heh love that you visited platform 9 and 3 quarters! it definitely counts. I am on a constant quest for a good soy hot chocolate - it's hard to find some of these drinks that dont taste of cardboard! xx
