| 1. Coming into the cabin to find a little sleepy cat curled up on a chair under the dining table. I honestly believe that the presence of cats has a calming effect on me. If they're friendly, that is. My last cat left a claw in my thigh when she'd had enough of me stroking her so I can't think the rule applied to her.
| 2. Having a 'grown up' moment meeting some friends for a drink in central London after work. The effect slightly diminished when I openly whimpered after being told my very sophisticated and grown up drink cost £7.50. Gulp.
| 3. Having a wander around Homebase during a lunch break to get a good look at their glass jars in preparation for a future craft project, because apparently I'm a grandma who does things like that.
| 4. Finally getting to watch a huge herd of deer quietly graze in Richmond Park from the safety of a tree stump during an overcast Friday afternoon. The 'bambi' deer, as they're officially called, were out in force, with lots of 'bambi dads' locking antlers around them. It was like bloomin' Autumnwatch, it was.
| 5. Cheering 'hip, hip, hooray' with a thousand others as the new Lord Mayor stepped out of St. Paul's Cathedral. I wrote a post about it here.
